I am looking at upgrading my controller for PC gaming. Not sure what to get though. Anyone here have any recommendations in terms of specific controllers or just brands?
I use pdp controllers myself. I have a wired RGB one and a standard black one. Both are Xbox One controllers. I don’t use PS controllers because they don’t always function right with games.
pdp makes some good ones for sure. Outside of that, you can check out licensed controller. I also prefer the Xbox controllers over the other ones. Whatever you decide, just make sure it is a full-size controller. I have made the mistake of buying one for kids before lol
I would avoid PowerA controllers, I haven’t had one last more than 6 months. I always just go with the actual stock branded controllers. If your PC will detect one, just get a wireless Xbox One controller. Prices should be dropping for the holiday season. Or snag one of the newer ones if you can find them.
I know it is not everyone’s cup of tea but I am a fan of using the Logitech Gamepad F310. I feel like it is underrated. A lot of people default to using 360 and XOne controllers on PCs because most gamers typically have windows.
I use pdp as well. They have a nice selection and the controllers actually last a while. The wires aren’t cheaply made either. I have hand controllers where the wire just stops working. Very annoying!
Thanks, everyone. I will take a look at the pdp ones. I am assuming they are a bit more affordable compared to the “official” controllers they sell for consoles right?
mouse and keyboard is the best. jk I know everyone is different really depends on what game you are playing. i like tobii eye tracker and head tracking. not really a controllers but help a lot with a controller and mouse and keyboard on games that a supported i can just look at something and it locks on. i can also move my head left and right to lean and peak corners in fps games. I also like VR controllers WMR. i do like both the ps5 controller and xbox series x controller. adative triggers with haptic feed backare cool wish xbox series x would have something like that in the future. i have a razer nari ultimate with haptic fedback in a headset i love them and the THX spatial surround sound is the best. not a big fan of the Nintendo switch just doesn’t feel right. I did like the gamecube controller. The razer kishi for mobile is great and great for streaming nvidia app or games off my pc to nvdia sheild . speaking of nvidia i loved my nvidia shield portable. but i still prefer a mouse and keyboard for most games and especially fps games . i like mechanical and optical mouses and keyboards same with analog. mecha-membrane hybrid keyboard are cool too.i like full size to compact keyboards. I do like some racing wheels and fighting sticks.logitch and thermaltake make some good products too. i also like flight sticks and simulators. i miss my Microsoft sidewinder. there just so many different ways to play. it’s hard to pinpoint it down to just one device. i even like Microsoft surface dial v2.
